The Kabul Tribune (KT) - The Supreme Court of the Taliban says that three individuals accused of theft were flogged in Kuhband district, Kapisa province.

The court said that the primary court of the Taliban in Kapisa had sentenced each of the accused to two years in prison and 35 lashes.

According to the statement, the punishment was carried out after being confirmed by the Supreme Court of the Taliban.

Over the past four years, the Taliban have repeatedly carried out corporal punishments, including public floggings, in various provinces of Afghanistan—actions that have drawn consistent criticism from human rights groups and the international community.
