The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Taliban authorities in Farah say they have completed the construction of 108 housing units for returning migrants.

The media office of the province said in a statement that the houses were built at a cost of about $5.5 million.

Local Taliban officials said the project was implemented to improve living conditions for returnees and provide adequate shelter for vulnerable families.

The development comes as the United Nations has previously raised concerns over shortages of housing and employment opportunities for returnees in Afghanistan.
