The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has announced that Ireland has contributed €3 million (approximately $3.44 million) to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.
OCHA said the funding will support ongoing humanitarian operations in Afghanistan and help address urgent needs across multiple sectors.
According to the agency, the assistance will play a key role in strengthening emergency response efforts and ensuring the delivery of aid to vulnerable populations throughout the country.
OCHA welcomed the contribution from Ireland and stressed that such support is essential for alleviating the humanitarian crisis and assisting the most at-risk communities in Afghanistan.
