The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s interior minister, arrived in Tehran carrying a special letter for Mojtaba Khamenei amid ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran.

According to reports, Naqvi said he would deliver the letter on behalf of Pakistan’s Army Chief and Prime Minister. He made the remarks after arriving in the Iranian capital for talks with senior Iranian officials.

The contents of the letter have not been disclosed, and officials from either country have not provided details about its message.

Naqvi arrived in Tehran on Saturday for discussions with Iranian authorities as Islamabad and Tehran continue diplomatic engagement on regional and bilateral issues.

Khamenei became Iran’s supreme leader in March 2026 following the death of his father, former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
