The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Canada has contributed 1.35 million Canadian dollars (US$957,000) to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund to support humanitarian assistance for vulnerable people across Afghanistan, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said.
OCHA thanked Canada for the contribution, saying continued
support from donors helps humanitarian partners reach people most in need
across the country.
The funding will be channeled through the Afghanistan
Humanitarian Fund, a U.N.-managed mechanism that supports humanitarian
organizations responding to urgent needs in Afghanistan.
“Your continued support helps humanitarian partners reach
the most vulnerable across Afghanistan,” OCHA said in a post on X.
