The Kabul Tribune (KT) Representatives of Afghanistan, Iran and the United Nations are expected to hold a trilateral meeting in Kabul in the near future to discuss challenges facing Afghan migrants, the Taliban’s Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said.
Arafat Jamal, the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees’
representative in Afghanistan, made the remarks during a meeting with Abdul
Kabir, the Taliban’s minister of refugees and repatriation.
According to a ministry statement, Jamal said the trilateral
meeting involving representatives of Iran, the United Nations and the Taliban
government would focus on challenges facing Afghan migrants.
He also said discussions on the challenges facing Afghan
migrants, including forced deportations, are expected to take place on the

The planned meetings come as Afghan migrants in neighboring

deportation and return to Afghanistan.
