The Kabul Tribune (KT) — At least six people were killed after unidentified gunmen opened fire on a house in the Buleda area of Turbat in Pakistan’s Balochistan, police said Wednesday.
According to local police, those killed include a woman, and two others were injured in the attack. The bodies of the deceased and the wounded were transferred to Turbat Hospital for medical treatment and legal formalities.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the shooting, and authorities said an investigation is underway.
The incident comes as Balochistan, along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, remains among the regions most affected by militant violence in Pakistan.
Last month, the province experienced coordinated attacks claimed by the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), targeting multiple districts, including Turbat and other areas. Pakistani authorities said dozens of civilians and security personnel were killed in those incidents.
Security forces have continued counterterrorism operations across the province in recent months, as violence has persisted in parts of southwestern Pakistan.
