The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Attaullah Tarar claimed that 583 members of the Taliban have been killed and more than 795 others wounded since clashes began between Taliban and Pakistani forces.
In a post on X on Sunday, Tarar said 242 Taliban checkpoints had been completely destroyed during the fighting, while 38 others were captured by Pakistani forces and later demolished.
He added that 213 Taliban tanks, armored vehicles and artillery systems had also been destroyed in the operations.
The minister further said the Pakistan Air Force has so far carried out airstrikes on 64 locations across Afghanistan.
Taliban officials have not yet issued an official response to the claims.
The statement comes as the Taliban previously claimed that nearly 350 Pakistani soldiers had been killed in the clashes.
Fighting between the Taliban and Pakistan has continued for more than 10 days.
