The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan said it documented at least four civilian deaths and 14 injuries, including women and children, following airstrikes in the Pul-e-Charkhi area of Kabul late Thursday night.
In a statement posted on X, UNAMA said the casualties
resulted from overnight airstrikes in the Pul-e-Charkhi district of the Afghan
capital.
The mission called for an immediate halt to hostilities to
prevent further civilian casualties.
“We continue to call for an immediate cessation in
hostilities to prevent further loss of civilian life,” UNAMA said.
The reported strikes come amid escalating tensions and
cross-border attacks between Pakistan and Afghanistan, which have intensified
in recent weeks. UN officials have repeatedly warned that continued military
confrontations risk increasing harm to civilians.
