The Kabul Tribune (KT) - Afghanistan’s national television, under Taliban control, reported that 87 Afghan families returned from Iran and Pakistan on Tuesday.
The families crossed into Afghanistan via Pul-e-Abrisham in Nimroz, Islam Qala in Herat, and Spin Boldak in Kandahar.
According to the United Nations, in 2025 alone, 2.8 million Afghan families returned from Pakistan.
The return of Afghan refugees from Iran has also accelerated following recent US and Israeli military actions in the region.
