The Kabul Tribune (KT) - Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, has warned that “terrorists” operating from Afghanistan will not be allowed to threaten Pakistan’s security, Dawn reported on Saturday.
He made the remarks during a visit to Kurram in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where he offered Eid prayers with troops and praised their efforts in "Operation Ghazab lil-Haq," aimed at dismantling “terrorist” networks along the Durand Line.
Asim Munir stressed that Afghan soil must not be used by hostile elements for activities against Pakistan, while commending the soldiers’ dedication, morale, and professionalism in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.
In a related message, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, called on Pakistan and Afghanistan to end hostilities and improve relations. He said he is willing to mediate between the two countries to promote peace and unity among Muslims.
