The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban embassy in Moscow said seven Afghan detainees have been returned from Russia to Afghanistan after completing legal and administrative procedures.

In a statement posted on X, the embassy said the individuals had been detained due to a lack of legal documents and were repatriated in coordination with relevant authorities in the host country.

According to the embassy, the detainees were held in custody and were sent back to Afghanistan following the completion of due legal process.

The embassy added that it is working to address the challenges faced by Afghan nationals abroad, particularly detainees, and aims to strengthen diplomatic efforts to facilitate their release and return.
