The Kabul Tribune (KT) - The Taliban’s Supreme Court said in a statement that a man in Balkh Province was given a discretionary punishment on charges of “sodomy.”
The statement said the man was sentenced to 30 lashes and two years in prison.
Since returning to power, the Taliban have repeatedly carried out public corporal punishments in Afghanistan. These actions have drawn widespread criticism from the international community and human rights organizations.
