The Kabul Tribune (KT) — A rare and joyous event took place at the Emergency NGO Maternity Centre in Afghanistan, where quintuplets were born prematurely at around 30 weeks, the organization reported Monday, April 6, 2026.
The newborns are in stable condition, and their mother is
reported to be doing well.
The NGO described the facility as a “cradle in the
mountains” of the Hindu Kush and expressed hope that the five children will
grow up together in peace.
