The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The National Statistics and Information Authority under Taliban control said Tuesday that during the 2025 solar year, the identities of 20,071 Afghans in Iran were verified, and Afghan ID cards were issued to them.
The authority said the registration took place in the
Iranian cities of Zahedan and Mashhad.
Sources added that the registration process is ongoing to
verify the identities of Afghan residents in Iran and continue issuing ID
cards.
