The Kabul Tribune (KT) — UNHCR says recent conflict has affected nearly 35,000 people in southeastern Afghanistan, highlighting growing humanitarian needs in the region.
In a statement, UNHCR Afghanistan said it is working
alongside other UN and humanitarian agencies to support affected families with
emergency assistance, including tents, solar lamps and essential relief items.
The agency said the aid aims to address the urgent needs of
displaced and vulnerable communities impacted by the violence.
The latest assistance comes as humanitarian organizations
continue to respond to recurring conflicts and displacement in parts of
Afghanistan, where limited access to basic services and shelter remains a major
concern. Aid agencies have repeatedly warned that ongoing insecurity and
economic challenges are exacerbating the situation, leaving many families in
need of sustained support.
