The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban said their Ministry of Justice shut down 36 charity organizations and unions and revoked the licenses of 16 associations in 2025 over various violations.
In a statement released on Sunday, the ministry said the
actions followed monitoring and evaluation of 181 charity organizations and
associations during the year.
The statement added that several other organizations were
issued warnings and recommendations to address identified issues.
During the same period, the ministry said it granted
operating licenses to 227 other charity organizations and associations.
The Taliban did not provide further details on the nature of
the violations but said the measures were part of broader efforts to regulate
the activities of civil society organizations in the country.
