The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Unknown assailants killed a taxi driver and seriously injured his son in a knife attack in southern Kandahar, Taliban officials said.
Taliban police spokesman Asadullah Jamshid said the incident
occurred on Sunday in the “Sarkari Bagh” area of Arghandab district.
According to Jamshid, the attackers lured the victim to the
area under the pretext of an outing, accompanied by two women. He said the
suspects stabbed the man to death and critically wounded his son at the scene.
No arrests have been made so far, and authorities have
launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators and determine the
circumstances surrounding the attack.
The incident comes amid reports of a rise in criminal
activities in several provinces in recent months.
