The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban said construction has begun on a road project in Maidan Wardak Province with an estimated cost of nearly 78 million Afghanis.
According to the Taliban’s Ministry of Public Works, the project involves building a 2.6-kilometer road in the Jalrez District, connecting the district’s main junction to the Hadbakhshi area via the Sanglakh recreational zone.
The ministry said the project is expected to be completed within nine months and will be put into operation afterward.
Officials added that the initiative has already created job opportunities for hundreds of local residents and is expected to improve transportation for communities in the district, particularly benefiting tourists visiting the area.
The project is part of broader efforts to enhance infrastructure and connectivity in rural parts of Afghanistan.
