The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Ministry of Information and Culture of Afghanistan said that 24 historical artifacts have been discovered in Ghazni province over the past few days and transferred to the provincial museum.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry said the artifacts were found in different areas of Ghazni city and include one inscribed stone object and 23 clay items.
The statement added that the artifacts were uncovered following recent floods and heavy rainfall, which exposed them from beneath the ground.
Ghazni is considered one of Afghanistan’s most historically significant provinces, with a long heritage linked to ancient civilizations as well as Islamic-era history. The province is frequently recognized as an important archaeological zone in the country, where artifacts from various historical periods continue to be discovered and transferred to museums by authorities.
