The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Ghazni Police Command said one person was killed in a landmine explosion in Qarabagh district of Ghazni province.
In a statement, the police said the incident occurred on Saturday in the Askarkot area when the victim was working on farmland using a tractor.
Authorities added that the explosion was caused by a remnant landmine from past conflicts, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Landmines and unexploded ordnance left behind from decades of war continue to pose a serious threat to civilians in Ghazni and several other provinces across Afghanistan.
