The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Noor Jalal Jalali, the Taliban’s minister of public health, held talks with his Uzbek counterpart Asilbek Khudayarov on expanding bilateral health cooperation during a visit to Balkh province.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan, the meeting took place at the Balkh provincial office, where both sides discussed cooperation in several areas, including capacity building for health professionals, treatment of hemophilia patients, facilitating visas for patients, quality control of food and medicines, and the provision of medical equipment for hospitals.

The statement said both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in the health sector.
