The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Local sources said Taliban authorities in Kandahar Province have set a new time limit for wedding ceremonies held in hotels, restricting events to end by midnight.
According to the sources, the directive was issued by the Taliban’s Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, requiring all hotel-based wedding events to conclude by 12:00 a.m., with no continuation allowed beyond that time.
The measure is expected to be implemented starting next week, the sources added, though no official explanation has been provided for the decision.
There has been no formal statement issued so far by the Taliban authorities regarding the restriction, according to the report.
