The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Afghanistan will take part in the 10th China–South Asia Expo this year, where it is set to showcase a wide range of domestic products and strengthen trade links with regional partners, the authorities said.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement on Wednesday that a special coordination meeting was held to finalize Afghan participation in the event, resulting in a decision to allocate 72 designated exhibition booths for Afghan companies.
According to the ministry, 45 Afghan companies will actively present their products at the expo, while four additional companies will participate as visitors.
Officials said Afghan exhibitors will showcase a variety of local goods, including handmade carpets, saffron, dried fruits, precious stones, and other domestic products aimed at expanding export opportunities.
The ministry added that the 10th China–South Asia Expo is scheduled to take place from 11 to 16 June 2026 in Kunming, China.
The event is considered one of the key regional trade platforms, bringing together businesses and investors from across Asia to promote economic cooperation and cross-border trade.
