The Kabul Tribune (KT) — United Nations said partners of the Afghanistan Coordination Group (ACG) reaffirmed their support for the Afghan people during a meeting held this week in Istanbul.
According to a statement shared by UN Afghanistan,
participants emphasized continued assistance to vulnerable groups, including
women and returnees.
The statement added that partners expressed gratitude for
renewed solidarity and stressed the importance of maintaining support efforts
amid ongoing humanitarian and economic challenges in Afghanistan.
The Afghanistan Coordination Group brings together
international donors and organizations to align support and coordinate
assistance strategies. The meeting comes as millions of Afghans continue to
face economic hardship, displacement and limited access to basic services,
particularly affecting women and returning migrants.
