The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Xinhua News Agency reported that U.S. President Donald Trump is set to visit China from May 13 to May 15 for high-level talks with Chinese leaders.
According to the report, Trump is expected to meet Xi
Jinping to discuss a range of global issues, including nuclear weapons, Taiwan,
Iran and developments in artificial intelligence.
The visit comes amid ongoing geopolitical tensions and is
seen as an opportunity for both sides to address key international concerns and
strengthen diplomatic engagement.
In recent years, relations between the United States and
China have been marked by competition and cooperation, particularly in trade,
technology and security. High-level visits between leaders of the world’s two
largest economies are often viewed as critical moments for managing
differences, preventing escalation and exploring areas of mutual interest on
global challenges.
