The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban’s National Examinations Authority says the 2026 Kankor examination process has begun on Thursday in 15 provinces and is scheduled to continue for three days.

According to the authority, the exam is being held in Herat, Ghor, Badghis, Sar-e Pol, Faryab, Uruzgan, Ghazni, Paktika, Maidan Wardak, Kunar, Baghlan, Parwan, Logar, Kapisa, and Badakhshan provinces.

Officials said the examination will be completed within the planned three-day schedule as part of the national university entrance testing process.

Reports indicate that, once again this year, female candidates have been excluded from participating in the exam, as the Taliban continue to enforce restrictions on girls’ access to higher education, keeping university doors closed to them.
