The Kabul Tribune (KT) — One person was killed and four others were injured in a traffic accident involving two motorcycles in eastern Logar Province, local authorities said.
The incident occurred in the Shinwari Qala area of Pul-e-Alam, the provincial capital.
A spokesman for the Taliban police command in Logar said in a statement released on May 15 that traffic management personnel responded to the scene in a timely manner and transferred the injured to a nearby hospital.
According to officials, the condition of one of the injured individuals is critical.
Authorities attributed the accident to reckless driving by the motorcyclists and urged the public to observe traffic rules to prevent similar incidents.
The incident follows another recent traffic accident in the province in which 12 people were injured.
