The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Richard Lindsay has expressed concern over reports that three journalists have been detained in Afghanistan without clear charges, alongside allegations of assaults and property seizures.
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Lindsay
called for transparency, due process, and respect for fundamental rights,
emphasizing that journalists must be able to carry out their work without fear.
The circumstances surrounding the detentions remain unclear,
and Taliban officials have not yet publicly responded to the allegations.
The journalists
reportedly detained in recent days have been identified as Mansouri Niazi, Imran
Danish, and Javid Niazi.
