The Kabul Tribune (KT) — AfghanEvac says a planned emergency increase in U.S. refugee admissions will not include Afghans who worked with American forces.

In a statement, the organization said the administration of Donald Trump is preparing to expand refugee admissions through a midyear emergency process, potentially including around 17,500 white South African citizens.

According to the statement, despite the planned increase, no quota has been allocated for Afghan nationals who previously cooperated with U.S. forces.

AfghanEvac warned that the decision raises concerns about the fate of Afghan allies who remain in uncertain conditions following the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan.
