The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Zamir Kabulov told Izvestia that Moscow has obtained the necessary authorization to deliver humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan and is prepared to do so if a formal request is made by Kabul.
Kabulov said the assistance would be provided upon official
request, signaling Russia’s readiness to support Afghanistan amid ongoing
economic challenges.
He added that the current domestic harvest has temporarily
eased food shortages in the country, but warned that Afghanistan could face
renewed food insecurity in the future.
Kabulov’s comments come as humanitarian concerns persist
across Afghanistan, with international organizations warning of continued
vulnerability due to economic instability and limited resources.
