The Kabul Tribune (KT) — At least three people were killed and two others injured in a dispute between two brothers in eastern Afghanistan’s Nangarhar Province, local authorities said.
The Taliban police command in the province said the incident occurred early Monday (May 25) in the Bam Khail area of Pachir Aw Agam district and was triggered by a land dispute.
According to officials, the injured were transported to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities said one suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident, while efforts are ongoing to detain another individual.
Land-related disputes have increased in recent months across Afghanistan, often resulting in casualties. The lack of legal documentation and disagreements over property ownership are cited as key contributing factors.
