The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Mohammad Hassan Akhund has emphasized the importance of addressing public grievances and supporting vulnerable communities, describing them as key priorities in his message marking Eid al-Adha.
Akhund stressed the need for national unity, saying many challenges in the Islamic world stem from division and urging Muslims to strengthen cooperation and solidarity in various aspects of life.
He called on Taliban officials to pay serious attention to people’s concerns, respond to complaints, and take practical steps to improve living conditions across the country.
The message also urged citizens to assist returning refugees and those affected by natural disasters.
His remarks come as Afghanistan continues to face significant economic challenges, rising poverty, ongoing returns of migrants, and the impact of natural disasters.
According to international organizations, living conditions for many Afghans remain difficult, with a large number of households still dependent on humanitarian assistance, underscoring the importance of calls for greater responsiveness to public needs.
