The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Iranian government has rejected reports claiming that President Masoud Pezeshkian has resigned, according to local media.
Tasnim News Agency, citing an informed government source,
reported that the rumors circulating about Pezeshkian’s resignation are false.
The source said that Pezeshkian has not submitted any
resignation and continued his official duties as scheduled on Sunday. His
upcoming plans are also expected to proceed normally.
The source further claimed that the spread of such reports
is intended to create internal divisions and gather security-related
information in favor of foreign entities.
Meanwhile, Iranian media published images showing Pezeshkian
attending a government event on Sunday evening, indicating that he remains
actively engaged in his presidential responsibilities.
