The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban’s Ministry of Finance has announced the ninth list for pension payments to retirees of the former Republican government.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry said the list includes pensions for employees of the Ministry of Public Health and colonels from the Ministry of Defense. The payments will be distributed from June 27 to September 22, 2026.
The ministry added that beneficiaries must register online for an appointment before visiting in person to receive their payments.
According to the statement, lists for retirees from other government institutions will be announced later.
The announcement comes as pension payments had faced delays and interruptions following the Taliban’s return to power, although efforts have recently intensified to settle outstanding entitlements for eligible retirees.
