Qatar has been a key diplomatic and humanitarian partner for
Afghanistan over the past several years. Since the Taliban returned to power in
August 2021, Doha has hosted high-level engagements involving Taliban officials
and representatives of the international community, while facilitating
humanitarian assistance and supporting efforts aimed at addressing
Afghanistan's political, economic and humanitarian challenges.
Qatar has also maintained one of the few active diplomatic
missions in Kabul, underscoring its continued engagement with the country.
