The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said authenticated document verification services will be expanded to 10 districts across Afghanistan beginning July 23, 2026, in an effort to improve access to consular services.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry said the services will be available in the districts of Spin Boldak in Kandahar, Gereshk in Helmand, Jaghori in Ghazni, Chamkani in Paktia, Surobi and Qarabagh in Kabul, Mohmand Dara (Torkham) in Nangarhar, Imam Sahib in Kunduz, Kaldar (Hairatan) in Balkh, and Shindand in Herat.
According to the statement, the process will be managed by the Afghan Post State-Owned Company to facilitate consular services.
Under the new system, applicants will be able to submit documents through designated Afghan Post offices, which will forward them to provincial authorities or the Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs for authentication. Once verified, the documents will be returned to applicants through Afghan Post.
