The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s special envoy for Afghanistan, said he met with Albert P. Khorev, Russia’s ambassador to Pakistan, to discuss recent regional developments, the changing security environment and the challenges posed by cross-border terrorism.
Sadiq said in a post on X that the two officials exchanged
views on matters of mutual interest, with particular focus on threats to
regional peace and stability.
The meeting comes as Pakistan has continued to raise
concerns about cross-border militancy and the regional security situation,
particularly in the wake of increased attacks in Pakistan's border regions.
Neither Sadiq nor the Russian Embassy immediately provided
further details about the discussions or announced any agreements.
